In honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fraga, Turkmenistan will host a Summit at the level of heads of government and an International conference at the level of ministers of culture in 2024.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the initiative during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.
It is planned that the Summit will be held in October, and the Ministerial Conference in May.
In addition, Turkmenistan plans to organize scientific conferences, competitions, literary evenings, film screenings and theatrical performances, as well as weeks of creativity on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly in the USA, Great Britain, Korea, Japan, Romania, Spain, Germany and other countries, Meredov said.
Summarizing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the head of the foreign ministry to ensure a high organizational level of planned international events designed to increase the glory of the great poet.
