Francoise Bettencourt-Myers, the only granddaughter of the founder of the cosmetics company L'Oreal, became the first woman in the world whose fortune exceeded 100 billion USD. This is reported by daily.afisha.ru with reference to Bloomberg.

Françoise's fortune is estimated at 100.2 billion USD. By December 28, 2023, it had risen to a record high thanks to rising L'Oreal share prices.

The woman has been on the board of L'Oreal since 1997 and owns 33% of the business along with her two sons.

Francoise Bettencourt-Myers is the record holder. She has topped the Forbes ranking as the world's richest woman for four years in a row. Her mother, Liliane Bettencourt, has also been in this ranking for 14 consecutive years.
