On Sunday, the creative team of the Turkmen musical and drama theater from Lebap presented on the stage of Bishkek a performance based on Chingiz Aitmatov’s play “The White Ship” directed by Perhat Hudayberenov.
The performance was shown at the National Academic Drama Theater of Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the VI International Theater Festival “Aitmatov and Theater”, which takes place in Bishkek from December 7 to 12.
Turkmenistan is represented at the festival by the State Music and Drama Theater of Lebap velayat named after S. Seydi.
Before the start of the performance, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Gulalek Akmyradova presented the President of the Union of Theater Workers, People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan Zhanysh Kulmambetov with the book “Music of Peace, Friendship, Brotherhood”, published in Russian, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
