A unique find has been discovered in Canada: the remains of a young tyrannosaurus with two baby dinosaurs in its stomach. A rare fossil was discovered in the province of Albertepi, writes MIR 24 with reference to the CBC television channel.
This case was the first in history when scientists were able to examine the stomach contents of an ancient predator. According to paleontologists, the exceptional value of the discovery also lies in the fact that the remains of the young found in the stomach of the tyrannosaurus rex turned out to be the most complete skeletons of bird-like dinosaurs of the genus Citipes to date.
The found remains can give scientists new information about how tyrannosaurs behaved and what role they played in the ecosystem. According to one of the conclusions already made, young predators hunted small dinosaurs that moved alone. Adult tyrannosaurs attacked entire groups of herbivorous relatives.
