In the Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan, a significant increase in agricultural production was recorded from January to October 2023, writes the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

Thus, over the 10 months of this year, the eastern region of the country grew 6,4% more melons than during the same period last year.

Currently, agricultural producers in this region have harvested approximately 227,5 thousand tons of vegetable products, 145 thousand tons of melons, more than 45,5 thousand tons of fruits and berries, about 113 thousand tons of potatoes and 18,5 thousand tons of grapes.

Also, during the indicated period, about 120 thousand tons of meat in live weight, over 525 thousand tons of milk and 200 million 700 thousand eggs were delivered to consumers. It is worth noting that almost all of the products mentioned were produced by private farms.
