1. In the last month of autumn, the first snow fell in Turkmenistan. It covered the top of the Kopetdag Mountains, which stretch along the country's southwestern border. Snow fell in the afternoon of November 22. The precipitation was not heavy, but sufficient to create a winter landscape against a blue sky. It is noteworthy that on November 22, a period began in Turkmenistan, which is popularly called Garagyş. This means the coldest part of winter. It will last until December 7.
2. Consultations were held in Beijing between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and China. During the meeting, the parties discussed key directions for the development of Turkmen-Chinese relations. It was emphasized that impetus for interstate relations is given by constructive and consistent dialogue at the highest level, within the framework of which a wide range of issues are considered to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
3. A two-day forum “Turkmenistan – Investment and Development” started in London, which brought together more than 350 representatives from different sectors of the economy. The forum discusses current projects in the field of infrastructure and construction, potential opportunities for cooperation between the international business community of Great Britain and Turkmenistan.
4. A press conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Turkmenistan and the European Union was held at the office of the EU Delegation in Ashgabat. The event was attended by high-ranking representatives of both sides, managers and specialists of EU projects, as well as the media. In her speech, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova congratulated everyone on this significant date and emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the European Union. During the press conference, the participants exchanged views on the successes achieved and prospects for further cooperation. It is worth noting that the event was organized within the framework of the Days of European Culture in Turkmenistan.
5. The collections of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan contain over 157 thousand exhibits. Museum specialists regularly study historical, ethnographic, zoological, botanical and other collections, prepare scientific reports and publish articles in the press. This year alone, more than 80 articles have been published on various topics related to the exhibits and activities of the State Museum of Turkmenistan. One of the main tasks of museums is organizing temporary, thematic and traveling exhibitions. In 2023, the State Museum of Turkmenistan organized exhibitions within the framework of the country’s Culture Days in Azerbaijan, the Republic of Korea, China, Tajikistan, Romania, Armenia, the USA and Uzbekistan.
