On November 14-16, the Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Begench Gochmollayev took part in the meeting of international participants of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, reports the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.
During the event, the delegation of Turkmenistan held important meetings with representatives of leading Japanese companies, as well as with the Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau Dimitri Kerkentzes, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ishii Taku and Secretary General of the Japan Association of the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 Ishige Hiroyuki.
One of the main topics of the negotiations was Turkmenistan’s success in preparing for the event. The Japanese side expressed gratitude for the timely submission of the necessary documents and emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan’s participation.
Particular attention was paid to the ceremony of transferring land for the construction of the National Pavilion. November 16, 2023 was the day when the land plot was officially transferred to Turkmenistan. This act is the first among foreign participants of EXPO 2025, emphasizing the importance of Turkmenistan’s role in the world community. The presentation of the document took place in the presence of representatives of local and foreign media, ensuring wide coverage of this important moment.
