The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the country's Deputy Prosecutor General, held a meeting with the leadership of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) at the Vienna International Center, reports the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Austria.
During the negotiations, it was noted that the Turkmen side was joining the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies - GlobE, and therefore confidence was expressed that fruitful cooperation would be established within its framework.
Attention was also paid to the implementation of the tasks provided for by the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its three complementary protocols, as well as the UN Convention against Corruption, and the planned activities.
At the same time, an exchange of views took place regarding cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNODC in relevant areas.
The GlobE network is an international platform for cooperation between anti-corruption law enforcement agencies of different countries. The purpose of the network is to ensure the rapid and effective exchange of information and assistance in cases of cross-border corruption crimes and the recovery of stolen assets.
