The general director of the Turkmen company “Garagum” ES Gylych Hallyev and the head of the Kazakh company “Merusar and K” LLP Marat Makhanov signed a contract to supply the Kazakh manufacturer with a significant volume of non-woven polypropylene fabric of various densities, reports the press service of the “Astana” Diplomatic Club.
Polypropylene non-woven fabric is a modern synthetic material that is widely used in various fields, including the production of medical clothing.
The contract was signed within the framework of a Kazakh business mission to Turkmenistan organized in October. A business delegation of 30 companies operating in various fields visited Turkmenistan on October 1-5, 2023. The forum was organized by the “Astana” Diplomatic Club with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan.
As a result of the work of the business mission, preliminary agreements worth 3 million USD were concluded, and promising areas for future cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries were identified.
“The initiatives of the “Astana” Diplomatic Club to intensify and expand business contacts between Kazakh and Turkmen businessmen are an important contribution to the implementation of the strategic plans of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to increase bilateral trade turnover”, - the message says.
Within the framework of the business mission, which is scheduled for November 28 – December 2, 2023, it is planned to conduct business visits to the cities of Mary, Ashgabat and Turkmenbashy. During the visits, meetings will be held with leading companies and business associations of Turkmenistan, as well as visits to special economic zones and the “Turkmenbashy” International Seaport.
