On Tuesday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyli Komekov held talks with the newly appointed Director General of the Italian Trade Agency, Mr. Lorenzo Galanti, and the Central Director of the Agency’s foreign network, Amedeo Scarpa.
During the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Italian Trade Agency, T. Komekov spoke about the potential opportunities for economic cooperation with Turkmenistan, noting the wide opportunities for developing relations in the trade and economic direction, in particular between the private and public sectors of the two countries.
The parties discussed issues of organizing a visit of representatives of the Turkmen business community to Italy, which is scheduled for early 2024. The visit is organized for the purpose of familiarization and exchange of experience with Italian companies in various fields of production, reports the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Italy.
Lorenzo Galanti thanked the ambassador for the visit and emphasized that there is great potential between Turkmenistan and the Italian Republic to strengthen cooperation in various areas. On his part, it was proposed to organize a visit of Italian business communities to Turkmenistan to establish a dialogue with representatives of interested companies in the two countries.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue the dialogue and make every effort to promote the development of bilateral relations in the fields of trade, economics and business.
