The “Agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea” was signed following negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The document was signed by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Begench Gochmollayev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin.
Before the signing ceremony, the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea discussed in detail the priority areas of trade and economic cooperation, including a wide range of joint projects in industry, energy, digital technologies, environmental protection and other areas.
The following documents were also signed in Ashgabat:
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the School of Korean Medicine of Busan National University of the Republic of Korea and the National Institute for the Development of Korean Medicine of the Republic of Korea;
- Cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for 2024-2025;
- Memorandum of understanding between the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev and the College of Medicine of Korea University.
