16 years old student from Kazakhstan Omar Aliyev gained popularity on TikTok thanks to his foreign language skills. Over the course of a year, about 25 million users subscribed to his account, and his videos collected more than 252 million likes, writes tengrinews.kz.
In his videos, the young polyglot pulls out a random flag and starts speaking in the language of the corresponding country. There are already several dozen such videos in his portfolio, and one gets the impression that he knows all the languages of the world.
The teenager speaks fluently not only the familiar French, English, Chinese, Korean, but also Thai, Vietnamese, Pashto and many others. However, the guy admits that he is just beginning to study some of them.
“I know more than 6 languages 95-99 percent. Among them are Kazakh, Russian, Kurdish, Turkish, Azerbaijani and English. I know 15-20 percent of the other languages I speak in the videos. By the way, all this is thanks to my sister Dilan. She is the one who helps me learn and develop languages on different online platforms”, - shares Omar.
The Kazakhstani's videos attract the attention of viewers around the world. Foreigners praise him for his effort and pronunciation. Omar says his success came through hard work and discipline.
