The famous folklore dance ensemble “Galkynysh” and People's Artist of Turkmenistan Zuleyha Kakayeva took part in the gala concert of the International Festival of Turkic Peoples “Oriental Bazaar in Kazan”, which was held at the cultural and entertainment complex “Pyramid” on October 27.
The performance of the Turkmen artists was warmly received by the audience, who gave them a long standing ovation.
“Since ancient times, the Eastern bazaar has been a place of fusion of different cultures, mutual respect and fruitful cooperation, and songs are a language of communication that is understandable to everyone, an invaluable asset of any nation. I am sure that the festival of the same name will become an important platform for expanding multilateral humanitarian ties and another clear evidence of the closeness of the historical, spiritual and moral values of the Turkic and Eastern worlds”, - says the welcoming letter from the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, reports business-gazeta.ru.
The evening's headliners were artists Elbrus Dzhanmirzoev, Irke, as well as the legendary Uzbek VIA “Yalla”, whose artistic director Farrukh Zakirov was given the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan.
