Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengas State Concern Murad Archaev said that the company is actively negotiating with international investors on the second and third stages of development of the world's largest onshore field, Galkynysh. He said this at the plenary session of the International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023”.
Currently, Galkynysh is at the stage of pilot operation as part of the first stage of development. The gas reserves of the giant field, together with the nearby Yashlar and Garakel deposits, are estimated at 27.4 trillion cubic meters.
Turkmengas is actively negotiating with international investors on the second and third stages of development. According to Archaev, significant results in this regard are expected to be achieved in 2024.
“Turkmenistan has a powerful and stable resource base, which opens up enormous opportunities for cooperation in the fuel and energy sector,” Archaev noted.
