Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture take part in the VII International Festival of Puppet Theaters “Chodari Khayol”, which opened on October 24 in Dushanbe, reports the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Turkmen students presented the play Baky rowaýat (“Eternal Legend”) at the festival. The plot is based on the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, such as “Worship of the mother - veneration of the shrine”, “Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road”, “Turkmen Alabai”.
The production of Turkmen students aroused great interest among foreign guests participating in the festival.
The “Chodari Khayol” festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan with the support of the country's government. Its goal is to strengthen cooperation in the field of theatrical art, its development and popularization, as well as to educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.
Performing alongside professionals from Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Iran, Turkmen students gained valuable stage experience at a major international event.
The festival will last until October 29.
