The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the World Health Organization (WHO) agreed to hold joint events in Turkmenistan. This is stated in the message of the Turkmen diplomatic department in Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that today in Astana, the Turkmen delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry - Head of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service A. Ovezov took part in the Global Conference on Primary Health Care, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the adoption of the Alma-Ata Declaration and the fifth anniversary adoption of the Astana Declaration on Primary Health Care.
As part of the event, a meeting of the Turkmen delegation with WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus took place. At the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare and outlined priorities for the future, including holding joint events at various levels in Turkmenistan by the end of 2023 and in the first half of 2024.
