The Ma Hawa company from the UAE has released dispensers for water, which they get from the air, writes “Russian Emirates”.
The new development was presented at the recently concluded Gitex Global exhibition. For now, the unit will be produced only for corporate clients, but models for home use should soon appear.
To get water “out of nothing”, the dispenser draws in air, purifies it using a filter system and cools it, which causes water condensation to form. The resulting water is further purified and treated with ultraviolet light, after which it becomes suitable for drinking.
The cost of the dispenser called Genny is 14 thousand dirhams or 3800 USD. The device can create up to 30 liters of clean water per day. The new product has already been purchased by government agencies, exhibition centers, parks and a number of companies. The company also released a portable dispenser with a capacity of up to 25 liters per day and costs 18 thousand dirhams (4900 USD).
“This dispenser produces 11 thousand liters of water annually without using any water resources, saves the planet from 45 thousand plastic bottles per year, and reduces the carbon footprint by 4,5 tons per year”, - said Ma Hawa Marketing Director Amro Asmael.
