Turkmenistan
1. On October 25-26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, informed about this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the head of Turkmenistan, the upcoming visit will contribute to the further comprehensive development of Turkmen-Turkish relations based on the historical community and fraternal ties of the two peoples.
2. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved a new sample and description of the passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan, the procedure for its registration and issuance, as well as the rules of use. The Resolution notes that a previously issued old-style internal passport does not need to be replaced with a new one if, according to the laws of Turkmenistan, there is no reason for replacement.
3. A presentation of the book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “The Meaning of My Life” in Russian was held in St. Petersburg. The event was organized by the branch of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, as well as with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation. Participants of the event watched a video telling about the latest achievements of Turkmenistan. Within the framework of the presentation, an exhibition of paintings, books and magazines about Turkmenistan, Turkmen national carpets and decorative jewelry was launched.
4. Popular musicians and artists of Turkmenistan gave a gala concert in the capital of Austria dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. Honored artists of Turkmenistan Garyagdy Saryev and Leyli Okdirova performed songs based on poems by Magtymguly. The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by Rasul Klychev, accompanied them with the music of Turkmen composers. The sound of modern melodies combined with the deep poetry of Magtymguly made a strong impression on the listeners.
5. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the first qualifying game of the third season of the intellectual competition “Young Messengers of the World”, which is held among high school students in the country. Eight players took part in the starting competition - students of grades 10-11 from schools in Ashgabat, Ahal, Mary and Balkan velayats.
6. The State Agency for the Management of Highway Construction in Turkmenistan will reconstruct the northern bypass highway Ashgabat - Geoktepe. Along the road it is planned to build new road bridges over a mudflow channel and a railway. They will meet modern requirements and international standards.
7. The Turkmen dance group “Nazli” took part in the 9th International Dance and Music Festival in New Delhi. The festival was organized by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations and featured performance groups from more than 12 countries. Participation in the festival of the Turkmen dance group was carried out within the framework of the Cooperation Program between Turkmenistan and India.

8. Authorities in the eastern states of Australia have warned residents of the region about the beginning of an invasion of the very dangerous Sydney funnel-web spiders. After rains, they can appear en masse in yards and houses; arthropods prefer dark places with high humidity. Australians are urged to be very aware of such places. The venom of the Sydney funnel-web spider is deadly - without the introduction of an antidote, its bite can lead to irreversible consequences in just 15 minutes.
9. Scientists from the Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a study to evaluate the effects of the world's largest ecological restoration project, also known as China's “Great Green Wall”. This project started in 1978 and involves planting trees and shrubs in arid regions in the north, northeast and northwest of China. Over 39 years, the program has contributed to a total sequestration of more than 47 million tons of carbon per year.

10. Young Turkmen tennis players successfully performed at the ATF international tournament, which was held from October 13 to 20 in Bukhara. The Turkmenistan national team’s collection included three gold and two silver medals. In singles among boys under 14 years old, Imran Ahundov won. Selim Chagylov took second place. In the boys' doubles, the Turkmen duet consisting of Ahundov and Chagylov became the champion. In the women's part of the competition, Ilima Huseynova won the singles tournament. In mixed pairs, Huseynova, together with Uzbek athlete Samira Kamalova, won a silver medal. Turkmen tennis players competed at the tournament under the leadership of Andrey Dovmatov and Yevgeny Molchanov. Over sixty athletes from Central Asian countries took part in the competition.
11. The Universiade “Turkmenistan – a country of inspiration and health” has started in Ashgabat. The opening ceremony of the sports festival turned out to be spectacular and colorful. Students from different universities took part in it and demonstrated agility, grace and strength in sports such as athletics, gymnastics, sambo, swimming, chess and tennis. In total, the Universiade program includes 22 sports. A special highlight of the holiday was the performance of the music and dance group of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
12. On October 20, the Turkmenistan kickboxing championship was held in the city of Arkadag, which determined the composition of the national team to participate in the upcoming world championship in Portugal. Teams from all regions of the country took part in the national championship. Over the course of four days, more than 200 athletes of different weight categories competed in a bitter struggle for the title of best fighters. According to the results of the competition, athletes from Ashgabat became the leaders in the team competition. In second place are representatives of Lebap velayat, in third place are representatives of Dashoguz and Mary velayats.
