Turkmenistan is preparing to host the 28th International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023” (OGT-2023), which will be held from October 25 to 27 in Ashgabat. At the forum, Turkmen specialists will present promising investment projects in the country's fuel and energy complex. This was announced by the editor-in-chief of the Nebit-gaz newspaper Ussa Ussayev, writes CentralAsia.news.
According to Ussayev, projects will include further development of the “Galkynysh” field, construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, optimization of onshore oil and gas production, development of fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, as well as projects in the field of renewable energy sources.
The editor-in-chief of the Nebit-gaz newspaper noted that one of the priorities will be the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions during hydrocarbon production. The forum will include meetings with the leadership of the oil and gas, banking, chemical and energy sectors of Turkmenistan. This will permit us to discuss prospects for cooperation and new investment projects with potential partners.
Turkmenportal previously wrote that to date, more than 400 delegates from 35 countries have registered to participate in the conference, and more than 70 international energy companies will present their exhibition stands.
It is expected that the exhibition will demonstrate the achievements of the industry in accordance with modern trends. This will help strengthen partnerships in the oil and gas sector and support the interests of Turkmenistan at the global level.
