On October 16, the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan, Guych Garayev, visited Penza State University. During the visit, he got acquainted with the activities of the university, its leadership, the learning process and the social conditions of Turkmen students, the press service of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) told Turkmenportal.
During the visit, Garayev met with the rector of PSU Alexander Gulyakov. The parties noted the high level of cooperation in the field of education between Turkmenistan and Russia.
At present time, about 22 thousand students are studying at PSU, of which 2,8 thousand are foreign students from 40 countries. Turkmenistan is represented at the university by 253 students.
The rector of PSU noted that Turkmen students are distinguished by their serious interest in learning, conscientiousness and decent behavior. They study in such specialties as information technology, medicine, linguistics, pedagogy, psychology and others.
In addition to studying, Turkmen students actively participate in sports competitions, cultural events and the social life of the university.
At a meeting with Turkmen students, Garayev emphasized that the country’s leadership pays special attention to youth, who in the future will become the backbone of Turkmenistan. He called on the students to study well, take care of their health and behave with dignity, as the rector of the university had previously paid attention to.
During the meeting, students were given the opportunity to ask the Consul General questions of interest to them.
