The Russian company Gazprom will consider and evaluate Iran's proposal to create a new gas hub, including Turkmenistan, Russia and Qatar. This was reported by the website of the State Concern "Turkmengas" with reference to the RT Arabic TV channel.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak spoke about the need to carefully study Iran's proposal.
“I think that our company Gazprom will study this issue. If this is really a real and potentially good project, then, of course, Russia will also participate in it. But we need to evaluate and study it,” Novak said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that Turkish partners are currently considering the roadmap developed by Gazprom for the project to create a gas hub in Turkey.
Last week, as part of the international forum “Russian Energy Week - 2023”, the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller met with the Minister of Oil of Iran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NIOC Javad Ouji, as well as with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Alparslan Bayraktar.
