The OSCE Center in Ashgabat conducted a four-day training on creating television programs covering environmental issues.
According to newscentralasia.net, the training was attended by editors and cameramen from Turkmenistan’s television channels, as well as journalism teachers from three universities in the country.
The purpose of the training is to increase the professional level and improve the skills of specialists in covering environmental issues.

International experts from Kazakhstan and Moldova introduced participants to the basics of environmental journalism and emphasized the essential role of contacts with representatives of the expert community in preparing news reports on environmental issues. The experts also spoke about production as the basis of modern television and presented types of television content, such as news and thematic.
Participants reviewed the process of producing television content, and also discussed the interaction of correspondents and operators at all stages.
The participants also practically practiced their acquired knowledge by visiting the city of Arkadag and preparing short news video reports about environmentally friendly technologies being introduced here, the source notes.
