1. Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS. Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met by officials at the “Manas” International Airport in Bishkek.
2. Universities of the Republic of Belarus presented educational services for Turkmen citizens at the international exhibition “Healthcare, Education and Sports”. The “Education in Belarus” pavilion was set up at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where representatives of five Belarusian universities were present. Representatives of educational institutions presented the potential of Belarusian universities, introduced interested citizens of Turkmenistan to the educational opportunities in the republic and spoke in detail about the nuances of admission.
3. In mid-October, a concert of masters of culture and art of Turkmenistan is planned to be organized in the capital of Austria. The event was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova and a delegation from the Vienna City Hall. The parties noted that the concert of Turkmen masters of culture and art in Vienna would become a significant event in the cultural dialogue between the two countries.
4. French actor Edouard Montoute, known for his role as Inspector Alain in the film “Taxi”, arrived in Turkmenistan. He will take part in the first international film festival “Dawn of Arkadag”, which will be on October 14-15. Upon arrival in Ashgabat, Montoute met with journalists and spoke about his impressions of the trip. “I came to Turkmenistan for the first time. I am very pleased to take part in this festival, which, as far as I know, is being held for the first time in the country. I am sure it will be an unforgettable event”, - Montoute said.
5. On October 29, an international competition for the title of brave alabai of the year will be held in Ashgabat. The order to hold the competition was signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in order to further increase the world fame of the Turkmen alabai.

6. 41 years old Mike Hurd from New Zealand set a world record by jumping off a bridge 941 times in 24 hours. Bungee jumping is a type of extreme attraction when a person is tied by the legs to a long elastic rope and he jumps from a great height. The rope stretches, springs, and the person flies up again. This is not the first record for Hurd - in 2017, he jumped from the bridge 441 times in a day. As a reward for his achievement, Hurd received about 8 thousand New Zealand dollars. He donated the winnings to charity in favor of patients with mental disorders.
7. Russia, China and Mongolia will create an international tourist route in the footsteps of the Great Tea Route. The ancient trade route will be revived in order to strengthen tourism cooperation between the three countries. Scientists date the emergence of the Great Tea Route to approximately the XVII century. The total length of the route was almost 13 thousand kilometers. It was named tea because tea was exported from China to Russia and Europe along this route.

8. Turkmen mixed martial arts fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov returned to his native Turkmenistan early this morning. As it is known, he defeated Polish representative Maciej Rozanski at the Bellator 300 tournament, which was held in California. The fight in the light heavyweight category lasted all three rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of the judges in favor of Yagshimuradov. For him, this victory was his third in a row in the Bellator promotion. Now he has 21 won fights, 7 losses and 1 draw, thanks to which he has risen to fifth place in the Bellator ranking among light heavyweights. Upon arrival in Ashgabat, Dovletjan told reporters that he was glad to return to his homeland after the competition. He added that now, if everything goes well, he will have a fight for the belt.
9. The opponents of the Turkmenistan national team in quartet “E” - the teams of Hong Kong and Bhutan - played the first match of the first round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The meeting was held at the stadium in Hong Kong and ended with a confident victory in favor of the hosts with a score of 4:0. The return match will be on October 17 in Bhutan.
10. The Russian national football team beat the Cameroon team with a score of 1:0 in a friendly match. The meeting was held at the “Dynamo” stadium in Moscow. The only goal of the match was scored by striker Fyodor Chalov in the 40th minute. For the CSKA forward, this goal was the first for the national team in six matches. The Russian team will play its next friendly match on October 16 in Türkiye against the Kenyan team. This meeting will be shown live on the territory of Turkmenistan by the “Match TV” channel.
