Today in Turkmenistan, in the new city of Arkadag, the V Vienna Ball began, which opened with the musical work “The City of Arkadag - the City of Happiness.”
According to the MIC, the Turkmen-Austrian joint orchestra “Galkynysh” and joint dance groups presented bright numbers.
The continuation of the tradition of holding the Vienna Balls in Turkmenistan is one of the obvious evidence of the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and the countries of the European Union and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
The first Vienna Ball took place in Ashgabat in 2011. The event was initiated by the Austrian-Turkmen Society with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The Vienna Ball is a unique symbol of the Austrian capital. More than 450 balls are held in Vienna every year. Over its 200-year history, this music and waltz festival has not only maintained its popularity, but has also become one of the most important and significant events. Such balls are held in many cities around the world.
Today, the fifth Vienna Ball on Turkmen soil is taking place in the new city of Arkadag, which also symbolizes a new impetus in cooperation.
The mayor and governor of Vienna, Michael Ludwig, wished the organizers of the Vienna Ball in Arkadag great success, and all the guests an unforgettable evening and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Vienna under the spell of the traditional Viennese waltz.
Let us remind you that on October 12, the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra will give a concert at the Ashgabat Mukams Palace.
