Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, which suffered from a strong earthquake. The humanitarian cargo consists of medicines and medical supplies, textiles and food, the Watan news program reported today.
It was noted that humanitarian assistance is an expression of solidarity and fraternal support for the Afghan people in difficult times. It is also a continuation of the consistent activities of the Turkmen state to provide assistance to Afghanistan over many years.

A devastating earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 7, in areas located three dozen kilometers northwest of the city of Herat. According to the latest data from the Afghan authorities, more than 2 thousand people became victims of the earthquake.
