A concert was held in Ashgabat in honor of International Music Day

Today the world celebrates International Music Day. For this event, the Turkmen National Conservatory named after. M. Kulieva regularly organizes concerts.

This time too, on the eve of this significant date, the chamber ensemble department of the conservatory traditionally held a concert.

As the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, the concert opened with a performance by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Osman Gujimov, who performed the Turkmen folk melody “Gadzhygulak”.

The musical evening also featured performances by young musicians who were delegated to the Delphic Games in Bishkek. These are: 11th grade student of the Special Music Boarding School at the TSC Aynur Otuzova (piano); conservatory students Erdzhel Yakshimuradova (piano) and Seyran Ataniyazova (violin).

The concert was attended by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov, diploma winner of international competitions Stella Faramazova, laureates of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry Award Begench Moshshiev, Bahar Durdyeva and others. They performed works by Turkmen and European composers.

Maya Gullaeva performed “Katerina” by Sergey Prokopyev, a work that the composer stylized from a classical one into a Russian folk song.

The duet of violinists Seyran Atayazov and Jemal Agajanova performed “Divertimento” by Igor Frolov with great success. Begench Moshshiev sang the Russian folk song “Kalinka”.

The concert ended with the song “Toy Aydymy” (“Holiday Song”).

Taking this opportunity, teachers and students of the M. Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory congratulates all Turkmen people on the International Day of Music, wishes them health and prosperity, as well as unquenchable inspiration!
