Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Peksa, announced the “Watan” news program of Turkmen television.
The Ambassador presented her credentials to the head of state and congratulated him on the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan.
In turn, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Beata Peksa on her appointment to a high diplomatic post. He noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to cooperation with the EU in various fields.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU. The head of state noted that in recent years, high-level contacts between the two countries have become more active.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also emphasized that Turkmenistan highly values cooperation with the EU and is ready to further strengthen these fruitful relations.
It should be noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union.
