On September 18, 2023, a delegation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia arrived in Ashgabat. The purpose of the visit is to hold a meeting of the joint working group on Turkmen-Russian customs cooperation, according to the website customs.gov.tm.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the joint action plan for 2022-2024, as well as priority areas of cooperation. In particular, they discussed the mutual recognition of authorized economic operator institutions, simplification of customs operations, information exchange and personnel training.
Today, the delegation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia will visit the International Customs Terminal and hold negotiations at the customs department of the city of Arkadag.
