President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will take part in the first meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the United States in New York.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov spoke about the preparations for the September 17-20 visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to New York at a government meeting, the information program Watan of Turkmen television reported.
During the report, it was noted that the President of Turkmenistan will take part in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the first meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the United States, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with the UN Secretary General.
Speaking about this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure a high organizational level of preparation for the working visit of the Government Delegation of Turkmenistan to New York in order to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, at which new constructive initiatives of Turkmenistan will be announced, designed to help build up fruitful international cooperation .
In particular, Turkmenistan plans to put forward a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening global security, promoting sustainable development and ensuring food security.
Turkmenistan’s participation in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly will further strengthen the country’s position in the international arena and increase its role in addressing current issues on the global agenda.
