1. Alexander Beglov, at the head of the delegation of the government of St. Petersburg, arrived on an official visit to Ashgabat. The head of the Northern capital will meet with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The parties will discuss issues of cooperation in the economic, humanitarian and social spheres, as well as projects that St. Petersburg companies are implementing in Turkmenistan. In addition, the governor of St. Petersburg will visit the new city of Arkadag, where a cooperation agreement will be signed between the government of St. Petersburg and the hyakimlik of the city of Arkadag.
2. The hyakimlik of Mary velayat announced a tender for the construction of 24 four-story multi-apartment residential buildings in the city of Bayramaly. Construction will be carried out through long-term bank loans within the framework of the planned second phase of the residential complex. The new houses will be located in the city center and will have a total area of about 40 thousand square meters. Each house will have 8 apartments, including one-room, two-room and three-room apartments.
3. Turkmenistan has begun mass cotton harvesting. An important agricultural campaign started in Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats. The Dashoguz region, taking into account soil and climatic conditions, will join the collection on September 15. This year, in the country as a whole, it is planned to collect 1 million 250 thousand tons of “white gold” from 580 thousand hectares of land.
5. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the King of Morocco in connection with the strong earthquake that occurred in the country, which led to numerous casualties, injuries and large-scale destruction. The head of state also expressed, on behalf of the people, the Government of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, words of sincere empathy and support at this difficult moment for the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.

6. An unusual fashion show was held in New York within the framework of Fashion Week. The fashion house Collina Strada brought models of all sizes, races and ages to the catwalk, and almost the same unnatural smiles were frozen on everyone’s faces. During the show, the smile gradually disappeared from the models’ faces - this is how they demonstrated how they really felt.
7. In the UK, the family life of two newlyweds ended a day after the wedding with a loud divorce due to an unsuccessful joke with a cake. Shortly before the wedding, the bride warned the groom that she could not stand jokes involving pieces of birthday cake being thrown in the face. The groom did not heed the warnings and, at the wedding ceremony, still threw a piece of cake in the bride’s face, ruining her festive makeup, hairstyle and dress. The girl immediately left the ceremony. Attempts by the groom and the bride's relatives to reason with the girl led nowhere. The offended bride filed for divorce less than a day after the wedding, because she felt that the groom was unable and unwilling to listen to her requests.

8. The final stage of the Asian Team Tennis Championship among children under 12 years of age is taking place in Shymkent. The national team of Turkmenistan is taking part in the competition among boys, which won a ticket to the finals after a successful performance at the Central Asian Championship in Ashgabat in June 2023. The rivals of the Turkmen team in the group stage will be peers from Hong Kong, Iran and Thailand.
9. The leadership of the German Football Association has relieved Hans-Dieter Flick of his position as head coach of the German national team. A day earlier, the German team was defeated by the Japanese team in a home friendly match, which ended with a score of 1:4. Hans-Dieter Flick has been in charge of the German national team since May 2021. Under his leadership, the team failed to advance from the group at the 2022 World Championships in Qatar.
10. The Kazakhstan national football team defeated the Northern Ireland team with a score of 1:0 in the sixth round match of the qualifying tournament for the 2024 European Championship. The Kazakhstan team scored 12 points after 6 matches and took second place in the group “H” standings. The Finnish team takes first place. The 2024 European Championship will be held in Germany.
