A neural network has been created in Russia that can distinguish a real accident from a fake one or a so-called “frame-up”, writes the “Izvestia” newspaper.
Using the gyroscope built into the smartphone, AI collects data about what is happening and analyzes it. The neural network is able to notice whether there was a collision in reality - if there was none, the gyroscope and accelerometer simply will not record it, thus it will be possible to prove that the accident did not occur.
The innovation is planned to be used in the fight against fraudsters on the roads who make money through fictitious accidents. Over the past month, AI has helped thwart more than 150 traffic accident fraud attempts.
For more correct operation of the neural network, further training is still required, and in addition, a large human resource will be needed to control the operation of the software.
