Japanese schoolchildren may have the opportunity to send a remote-controlled robot to school in their place, the Izvestia newspaper writes, citing the Internet portal Insider Paper.
The authorities of the city of Kumamoto proposed replacing children with robots as part of the fight against school truancy associated with bullying of students by their own classmates. The robot will be able to be present in the classroom, and the child will be able to control its movements from office to office at a distance. The appearance of his presence at school is created, as a variant of a distance lesson.
According to the authors of the idea, the robotic substitute should help children who are bullied, or simply timid by nature, avoid negative attitudes or overcome their fear of communicating with other people.
