The composition of the Turkmenistan national boxing team for the 2023 Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou (China) from September 23 to October 8, has become known, reports Sports.kz.
Turkmenistan will be represented at the competitions by 5 athletes in different weight categories: Zarip Jumayev (57 kg), Hursand Imankuliyev (63,5 kg), Bayramdurdy Nurmuhammedov (71 kg), Arslanbek Achilov (92 kg), Baki Toychiyev (+92 kg).
Among these athletes, Nurmuhammedov, who is considered “one of the youngest sensations in Turkmenistan”, and Achilov, known as a “heavyweight star”, are attracting special attention, the source notes.
The 2022 Asian Summer Games is a multi-sport competition that will be held in 2023 in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
