The Swift neural network, created by engineers at the University of Zurich together with the Intel laboratory, for the first time in history beat a person in a physical sport - a drone control competition, write "Arguments and Facts" with reference to Nature.
Out of 25 races, the AI won 15, with the human team consisting of professional drone pilots. The neural network consists of a camera and built-in sensors for environmental analysis that collect data about the environment. Swift explored the routes of the track and selected the shortest path. This, and increased speed and agility in overcoming physical obstacles, allowed the AI to win the race.
