The first successful kidney transplant operation was held in a Bishkek clinic, reports “MIR 24”.
In Kyrgyzstan, this procedure is carried out by Turkish doctors. More than a hundred specialists from Türkiye will train local surgeons in all the subtleties of this complex operation for two years. The hospital is equipped with the most modern equipment, and the cost of a kidney transplant is 10 thousand dollars. Previously, such an operation in foreign clinics cost Kyrgyzstanis five times more.
The first patients were visited by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
“This hospital will be one of the first in Central Asia. I know that you have been performing kidney transplants for two days now. The results are good, I visited every patient. You work with the help of high-tech equipment, I saw it with my own eyes and am very happy. I and the people thank you for such a valuable contribution to the development of medicine, donated life. We see once again that we are fraternal peoples”, - Sadyr Japarov said.
