The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation sent a message of thanks to Turkmenistan expressing deep gratitude for the humanitarian assistance for the children of the Primorsky Territory affected by natural disasters.
The message emphasizes that this gesture of goodwill in the spirit of friendship and mutual assistance is seen as a symbol of the consistently high level of Russian-Turkmen relations developing on the principles of in-depth strategic partnership, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported today.
We remind that in accordance with the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, "based on the primordial good neighborly relations, humanistic traditions and principles of the Turkmen people," Turkmenistan delivered more than 35 tons of humanitarian aid to Vladivostok for children affected by the flood in Primorye. The cargo included clothes, shoes, bed linen, food and other necessary things.
As previously reported, 65 settlements were affected by heavy rains and floods in the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation. More than five thousand residential buildings and 7,4 thousand household plots were flooded.
