Recently, "Belavia" announced the restriction of some additional services due to the transition to a new system. This raised questions from passengers, including foreign ones.
“In connection with the transition of "Belavia" Airlines to the use of new information systems, the issuance of additional services (including the preliminary selection of a seat on board, the carriage of additional baggage and sports equipment, the transportation of animals) for flights departing from September 1, 2023 is temporarily suspended", – stated in the message of the Belarusian air carrier.
According to the press service of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen office of "Belavia" reported that the transition to the new system will be carried out within a few days, until September 3 or 4. However, this will not affect the sale of air tickets in Turkmenistan - "this is due to the peculiarities of the local system for purchasing air tickets".
Thus, passengers planning a trip to Turkmenistan from September 1 can be sure that they will be able to purchase tickets without any problems.
