The Astrakhan Kremlin hosted the opening of the International Festival of Classical Art “Caspian Seasons”.
According to Russian publications, the symphony orchestra of the Caspian states opened the music festival. It consists of more than 60 musicians from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Accompanied by the orchestra, outstanding masters of the opera stage and musicians from the Caspian countries performed.
Turkmenistan was presented on the stage of the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin by the Honored Artist of the country Leyli Okdirova.
Eminent masters of opera also took part in the gala concert of the festival: soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Ildar Abdrazakov, laureate of Russian and international competitions, soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Opera Company Olga Pudova, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Elchin Azizov, Iranian composer and musician Mehdi Hosseini, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, soloist of the Astana Opera Theater Nurlan Bekmukhambetov.
The guest of honor of the gala concert was the governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin.
Let us remind that within the framework of the festival, the opening of the First International Forum of Composers of the Caspian Countries will also be held, in which the composer, art director of the Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” Mamed Huseynov will participate from Turkmenistan.
And on August 28, within the framework of the Caspian Seasons, Astrakhan will host the Day of Turkmenistan, which will be attended by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atageldy Garyagdyev, pianist, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov, chamber ensemble "Camerata Ashgabat".
