On August 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Ashgabat, where a trilateral summit of the heads of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will be held, reports the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Turkmen side, will make a working visit to the city of Ashgabat on August 4 this year. In accordance with the program, high-level meetings and participation in the trilateral summit of the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are envisaged”, - the message says.

Topical issues on the regional agenda will be considered during the summit and other meetings.

It should be noted that the last talks between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held in Ashgabat in October 2022. The heads of state discussed the prospects for deepening bilateral relations based on centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighborliness.

The leaders of the countries considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the political, trade, economic, energy, transport and logistics, and agricultural sectors. The parties highly appreciated the implementation of joint projects.
