Turkmenistan remotely took part in the training of mutual notification of the CIS countries about natural and man-made emergencies, which was held in Minsk at the Republican Center for Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus (RTsURChS).
According to the website of the CIS Executive Committee, during the training, information was received about a conditional natural emergency in the Russian Federation: flooding as a result of a sharp increase in the level of rivers in the border areas. The shift on duty of the RTsURChS prepared information on the forces and means sent to eliminate the conditional emergency. The exchange of information was via e-mail. Also, during the training, the stability of the communication channels was checked.
At the end of the test, a video conference was organized, during which the results of the training were summed up.
Trainings of this kind are carried out in accordance with the Schedule of Control Checks of Mutual Notification of the CIS Member States on Emergencies for 2023, approved by the Decision of the Interstate Council on Natural and Technogenic Emergencies.
