Korean taekwondo master Lee Jay-soo came to Turkmenistan to train the national team in this martial art. He said that he was surprised by the popularity of taekwondo in the country and hopes for the success of his students in competitions, MIR 24 reports.
The national team of Turkmenistan in taekwondo included 32 people who became the winners of the Cup of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. They will train under the guidance of Lee Jay-soo twice a day for two hours. The master will help them develop not only the technique of self-defense, but also the strength of the spirit.
Lee Jay-soo said that he came to Turkmenistan in 2017 to participate in the 5th Asian Games and was impressed by the country. He chose Turkmenistan from five countries where he was offered to train young taekwondo athletes. “The guys are great, and I see how they are trying, I think we will be able to show good results in the upcoming competitions,” he said.
