Relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will reach a qualitatively new level. This was stated by the Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his message addressed to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the text of which was read today in the Watan news program of the Turkmen television.

“I am sure that by joint efforts we will bring our bilateral relations based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect and mutual support to a qualitatively new level,” the message says.

The President of Uzbekistan also expressed deep gratitude to his Turkmen colleague for warm congratulations, sincere wishes and for a separate phone call on the occasion of his birthday.

“I especially appreciate the high assessments of the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the well-being of the people and increasing the authority of our country in the international arena, set out in your message,” Mirziyoyev emphasized.

Taking the opportunity, the head of Uzbekistan wished President Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health, long life and great success in responsible activities, and peace and stability to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.
