The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under strict control the observance of agricultural standards when caring for cotton and preparing sown areas for next year's wheat crop during a working video conference with the hyakims of the velayats and Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, the information program Watan of the Turkmen television reported.
As noted, these days, crops are cared for in cotton fields using full capacity of agricultural machinery and units, in particular, inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering. At the same time, cotton gins, collection points, combines and other agricultural machinery are being prepared for the harvest campaign.
Plowing and leveling are carried out on the fields allocated for next year's wheat harvest. Harvesting of potatoes and other vegetable and gourd crops continues with their subsequent delivery to retail outlets.
In Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, rice fields are cared for, and in Mary velayat, sugar beet crops are cared for, in particular, inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers, thinning, weeding and watering are carried out.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of proper implementation of agricultural activities in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, instructing to keep their implementation under unremitting control.
Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state noted the need for a responsible approach to seasonal field work - caring for cotton, preparing land and agricultural machinery and equipment for the next sowing season, addressing specific instructions on this matter.
The President of Turkmenistan also gave specific instructions to control the quality and timing of the construction of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the National Rural Program and the Program for the country's socio-economic development in 2022-2028.
