President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-yeol in connection with heavy rains that led to floods and landslides in the central and southeastern regions of the country. Thousands of people were evacuated from their homes, with 39 deaths known so far.

On behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of deep sympathy and support at this difficult moment to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, the Watan information program of the Turkmen television reported.
