The national team of Turkmenistan will take part in the World Aquatics Championship, which will be held from July 14 to 30 in Fukuoka (Japan).

Within the framework of the competition, medals will be awarded in swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, open water swimming, water polo and high diving, according to Olympics.

Turkmen athletes will take part in open water swimming competitions. The national team of Turkmenistan under the leadership of coach Dmitry Novikov included four athletes:

• 50, 100 meters freestyle - Anastasia Morgenstern and Musa Jalayev;
• 100, 200 meters backstroke - Aynura Primova and Merdan Atayev.
