The largest cruise liner Icon of the Seas has successfully completed a trial run. The first voyage will be in January 2024: it will be possible to ride on the ship from Miami to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, reports Mail.ru with reference to information from Royal Caribbean, the owner of the liner.
The ship will be the largest passenger ship in history. It weighs five times more than the Titanic.
To date, the world's largest cruise ship, the 362-metre Wonder of the Seas, is owned by the same company and contains 18 decks.
The new liner will be about 6% larger than its predecessor. The 20-deck “Icon” will be able to accommodate up to 7600 passengers (about 10 thousand people with the crew). The length of the ship is 365 meters.
The cost of the tour starts from 2600 euros per person, but the cheapest tours are no longer on sale. On board the liner there is a water park, restaurants, bars, a sunbathing area, an ice arena, a casino and much more.
