Medals and a talisman of the II Games of the CIS countries were presented in Minsk. The symbolic button that started the countdown to the start of the competition was pressed by eminent Belarusian athletes.
The II Games of the CIS countries will be held from 4 to 14 August in 11 cities of Belarus. More than 4 000 athletes will take part in them, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
The guest card of the II Games of the CIS countries was also presented at the Minsk City Hall. Its owners will have access to the best museums, hotels, shops and places to eat. This is a plastic card, the holders of which will receive a discount in five hundred different establishments.
At the II Games of the CIS countries, 1672 medals with a corporate logo will be played. The winners of the medals will also receive a plush Lynx as a gift.
The winners and prize-winners of the competitions will be determined in 20 sports: 3x3 basketball, boxing, volleyball, handball, judo, karate, athletics, mini-football, swimming, beach volleyball, beach football, sambo, modern pentathlon, wrestling, archery, bullet shooting, muay thai, weightlifting, field hockey and rhythmic gymnastics.
Earlier it was reported that Turkmen athletes will compete in nine disciplines - weightlifting, sambo, karate, judo, wrestling, boxing, athletics, swimming and Thai boxing.
