According to A. Otinashvili, twinning of cities is a huge step towards the activation of economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, because vast horizons of cooperation are opening up both between Arkadag and Telavi, and on a maximum scale between Georgia and Turkmenistan.
The implementation of exchanges in the areas of vintage winemaking and sericulture will become one of the promising areas of bilateral cooperation, Otinashvili stressed. Turkmen silk is in great demand all over the world, so this vector is of great interest to the business circles of Telavi, where the most famous wine is produced, the experience and production technologies of which Georgian specialists are ready to share, he noted.
Earlier we reported that the new city of Arkadag became twinned with Kazan and Telavi.
