In the final of the Asian Under-17 Football Cup, the Japanese team defeated the team of the Republic of Korea. The meeting took place at BG Stadium in Pathum Thani (Thailand).
The match ended with the victory of the Japanese team with a score of 3:0. Gaku Nawata scored a brace (46th and 66th minutes), another goal was scored by Yutaka Michiwaki (90+6).
Thus, Japan became the champion, and the Republic of Korea became the silver medalist of the U-17 Asian Football Cup.
