The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Secretary General of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World Ilyas Demirci, the official website of the supreme body of people's power reports.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting, Demirci congratulated the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan on the Gurban Bayram holiday and noted that Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to the development of cultural ties and scientific cooperation between the Turkic states. During the meeting, high environmental performance of the new city was noted.
The Secretary General of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World also expressed interest in the implementation of joint projects with Turkmenistan in the future and expressed the intention of the Turkish side to take part in the second phase of the construction of the city of Arkadag.
Emphasizing the readiness of the Turkmen side for partnership, the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty said that the proposals of Ilyas Demirci would be considered.
In continuation of the meeting, was an exchange of views on the issues of preservation and restoration of historical monuments, as well as strengthening cooperation in this area. In this context, the National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed his readiness to explore the possibility of the participation of Turkish specialists in the reconstruction of the Mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar.
At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, Ilyas Demirci, presented Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the medal “For outstanding services to the Turkic world”.
